Road to Server Champions

*disclosure*

This commentary is made by Lord_Obelisk alone so if ever there was any

misinterpretation or correction or any violent reaction among the readers do not blame

the entire guild.

Addition – I would add the images and the links for the RPC videos

later because I use dial up here at home and it would take forever to load all the

images so I’ll do it later when I am at school

History

Never did we expect that we would be in the situation we are today. To represent chaos

as server champion is really an honor that we didn’t think would be possible. At the

very beginning of Agit Lords Coalescence didn’t even have any intention of running for

AL. A few months before AL came around January of this year we were already discussing

what our plans would be for this’ years RPC. The decision that some of the members have

concluded is this, we won’t be joining Agit Lords or Wild Cards for this year and we

would just support whatever faction we would join in and we’ll make a team that would

run in the regionals.

Coalescence during that time was merely less than a year old, actually it is just this

august 17 when we celebrated our first year anniversary, although the guild was

relatively new compared to other guilds in the WoE scenario, most of the members of this

guild has been around since beta. As we all know Coalescence is mainly composed of the

merger of two guilds Nihil Metus and Bisdak, due to the fallout with Remarque guild we

decided to try to split the divider between the two remaining guilds left and search for

a new name that would be synonymous to unity. That is when one of our guildmember came

upon this word

Coalesce = To grow together; fuse. To come together so as to

form one whole; unite:

With the name already decided next came the emblem, The first design which was a flaming

orb being surrounded by a dragon was then later modified into the emblem what you see

today because some of the members say that it is similar to the SC emblem. With the name

and the emblem now in place it was time to show Midgard our capabilities. Coalescence I

think became known because of it’s defensive prowess when it came to siege because of

it’s ability to defend multiple agits even despite of having at most four guilds in its

roster.

Agit Lords

When Agit Lords was about to begin we were holding one of the 5

high economies agit here in chaos namely Bergel. Our loyalty to the former brotherhood

faction was honored as we were invited back to join them for this year’s RPC. At the

first meeting of Bloodpact for AL it was already decided that our flagbearer would be

Untouchables and the Wild Card would be Civitas Dei due to luck of the draw. At the

beginning of AL it would seem that Bloodpact has a higher set of cards because we have 3

high economy agits [Bergel (Coalescnece, Hong-Roo (Alliance) and Rothenburg (Civitas

Dei)] as compared to Finality’s two high economy agits [Skoegul (Grand Lethal) and

Eyorbrigar (Shadow Circle)].

Due to the unfortunate burning of Bergel in the pre-RPC days the tide has turned still

in favor of Bloodpact because it was then that the odds became 3-1. While Bergel was

being burned down during one of the pre-RPC sieges in February, Coalescence was able to

make amends by snatching Eyorbrigar from Shadow Circle. Eyorbrigar was then passed on to

Untouchables as our way of honoring our alliance with Bloodpact. This was the time that

Finality was able to capitilize the lack of organization of the BP guilds. With one

crushing blow they were able to burn Eyorbrigar and snatch Rothenburg from Civitas Dei.

We were now left with one high economy agit which was Hong-Roo and Finality still has

two agits which was Skoegul and Rothenburg. At the 2nd day of scoring Hong-Roo was

successfully infiltrated by Finality and burned but this didn’t came with retaliation

from Bloodpact as we were able to take away Rothenburg and was then held by Coalescence

until the end of the siege. It was this day when it was decided that Coalescence would

fill in as the 2nd flagbearer for Bloodpact. Although being with Bloodpact was good in

the entirety of the Agit Lords, we could not say that we don’t have any disappointments

in the faction during the start of the campaign. Bloodpact at the beginning of the

campaign is really disorganized, and when modified experience came from level up it was

really hard to ask for multipliers from allies because they would still want to obtain

their own agit causing the one that they should pass onto us to be loosely defended. But

when push came to shove BP guilds would perform really well.

With both factions having a high economy agit each it was apparent in scoring that

Finality was more organized but Bloodpact was still able to manage to keep the gap

between Coalescence and Grand Lethal to be close. But one day Bloodpact would be in awe

as Rothenburg was successfully burned down by Finality (I would no longer mention the

events of that day because whether or whether not it would affect the results of the

siege that day is dependent on the reader’s viewpoint). With that defeat we would have

thought that Agit Lords is over for Bloodpact, but Finality came up with a mishap on

their own. They decided to burn Skoegul for reasons unknown to me, but this is when

Bloodpact rejoiced because we knew that rebuilding the economy of an agit was still

possible because AL is still a long way from being finished. With this turn of events,

Bloodpact was able to secure Skoegul and then Untouchables was now in charge of

defending Skoegul.

Finality came to see the error that they made and also tried to rebuild the economy of

Rothenburg. But it was this time that we could clearly see our advantage as Bloodpact

was able to secure Skoegul while keeping Rothenburg’s economy at bay by breaking it.

Still due to the superb military tactics of Finality they were able to snatch Skoegul

from Untouchables. It was during this time that Bloodpact came into a pinch again. We

then decided to take Rothenburg away from SC and try to rebuild its’ economy with

Coalescence in charge again this time. During this time it would seem that Finality

would be successful in trying to push 3 of their guilds for AL but Bloodpact was still

tenacious and would never give up. With Skoegul being passed around to the 3 guilds of

finality Coalescence was able to secure the 1st place in AL and passed Rothenburg to UT.

Near the end of AL the unexpected happened. Bloodpact was able to infiltrate Skoegul’s

defenses with the implementation of the lighthalzen patch. And with this turn of events

Untouchables was able to safely secure the 2nd place in the Agit Lords. With that

Bloodpact’s goal was able to be fulfilled which was equal representation for both

factions in Chaos.

Server Elimination

Matches

With Agit Lords over it was now time for Bloodpact guilds to decide their line up. Even

in the middle of the Agit Lords, Coalescence was already offering our slots to other

Bloodpact members because at first not even one of us had any intention of playing for

RPC. I even suggested that could we not give our slot to Apocalypse since they are the

pvp veterans. With Coalescence being the first match line up was a big problem for us

since most of the players that we have invited either declined or has joined another

team. Being pressured due to time constraints Coalescence opted to tried to find players

in our own backyard (Yes, although it was still a bit selfish on our part, team

Coalescence is a pure Coalescence members team). We tried to find members that would

best represent our team and we have complete confidence to be the best in their class.

Professor – Shagmeister (piloted by Shad)

High Wizard – W!zZzk!D (piloted by Jax)

Champion – `vVaR (piloted by Pao)

Creator – Black Doom (piloted by Ander aka in-flamez)

Paladin – [devotion] (piloted by Blink[back to back chaos champ])

Assassin Cross – Judecca (piloted by Mike aka Huiniz)

Clown – Buster`Fuhrer (piloted by Wireless/Jason)

Sniper – Jazon™ (piloted by Chard aka Blackdoom/Warlock)

High Priest – ..Lady_D.. (piloted by Bert aka ..Natural_D..)

*reserve*

Dancer – babyblog (piloted by PJblog)

Lord Knight – xKa|abaw (piloted by Fonsy)

We used this line up because these people were already familiar with each other in terms

of teamwork because they themselves constantly would be in the same party in the WoE

scenario. At our first practice it was apparent that we are not a pvp oriented guild as

Alliance quickly wiped us out at our every practice in the pvp room. However loyal

guildsmen namely Chad~ and GreyHowndz was able to secure and develop a private server

for Coalescence to able to practice for RPC. We invited other Bloodpact guilds to

practice with us as well as one of the running representatives for Iris which is Ninja.

There was also one time when the team practiced with representatives from Loki.

Server Quarterfinals (Coalescence vs. Mors Mortis)

This was the scariest of all matches because it was only a 1 match round and you

couldn’t really determine which team was better because it would be really a matter of

luck which team would be frozen and which team would be able to capitalize on that

situation. Fortunately for us luck was on our side as Mors Mortis were frozen by a

timely frost joke and arrow shower which led to the stripping of their Land Protector

and the loss of their members.

Server Semifinals (Coalescence vs. Dire Wolves)

We were quite unsure how fierce our opponent was this time because they have defeated

Untouchables in their previous match. During the first round it was really fierce at the

beginning of the match because the dire wolves champion would throw several EFs on our

team fortunately they were all still devoted to the paladin and was able to survive and

because of his several attempts the dire wolves champion was killed and soon after his

entire team followed. At the second match however there was an event which led to the

opportune moment to kill the enemies as when the Dire Wolves professor was spotted

casting memorize. Our professor quickly removed their LP and soon after all members of Dire Wolves was down.

Server Finals (Coalescence vs. Alliance)

At this time although we are facing our allies, we know that they would be our fiercest

competitors because each of those characters that we were facing are veterans and well

known in their job class. At the first round it was fortunate that BC was not moving due

to unknown reasons and he was quickly killed by our SinX at their starting point. With

Alliance already one of their main killers down, Coalescence was able to capitalize on

the situation and win. During the second match things were not looking well for

Coalescence, this is because Coalescence has already lost their Sniper and SinX early on

and they are still facing a complete line up of Alliance. Again opportunity would knock

against our doors as Alliance team was again frozen and Coalescence was quick to respond

to it resulting in the second win. At the third match it was a hard face to face battle but somehow Coalescence emerged victorious.

Acknowledgement

We would like to thank the entire members of the Bloodpact faction because without your

dedication and support we won’t be able to make it here. We would like also to

acknowledge Finality for being good competitors despite all the trashtalk being thrown

for us it was merely a way of spicing up the action. We would also thank the neutral

guilds for their resilience in the battlefields and being also good sport when we face

them. But most of all we would also like to thank all the Coalescence members, without

your support and dedication none of this would be possible. Special thanks to be added

later kailangan ko na magayos lapit na pasok. Pero pangunahan ko na yung special thanks

kay Pakwan aka Vigilant~ without you this would not be possible

Special Thanks to those who go to portal to watch our matches and support us, and Thanks

to portal 1.618 for their never ending support to us.

Although I Would like to acknowledge more the other Bloodpact guilds in their

performance in the Agit Lords medyo hinde ko na kasi maalala yung detail so I’ll be

adding it later after makapagtanong tanong muna ulit oks
