Team Philippines Wins 3rd Place in Ragnarok World Championships
Sadly, we didn’t bring home the gold but Team Armada-Philippines, official RP team to the Ragnarok World Championships 2007 held at the Lotte Activity Center in Seoul, Korea (July 21 – 22, 2007), took the bronze medal after defeating Germany 2-0.

This is the best finish yet for our country in the second installment of the international Ragnarok tournament.
Carlo Ople aka Waukster, Brand Manager for Philippine Ragnarok Online reports how the inclusion of a SinX (Assassin Cross) for the Koreans turned the tide of battle for them. “Extremity Fists flew left and right but at the end of the day, the Assassin Cross of Korea made the difference as he was able to take out Team PH’s Priest with a series of quick Soul Destroyers powered by their Minstrel’s Bragi’s Poem.†writes Waukeen.
For their efforts, the Philippine RWC team will take home a trophy and approximately USD3,000 (or around PHP150,000) in cash prize.

There were 11 countries that participated in RWC 2007:
Team Armada of Baldur (formerly Chaos and Loki) won the rights to represent the country after besting other teams in the RWC tournament stage. This is part of the Ragnarok  Philippine Championships 2007, just one of the many online game tournaments that Level Up, the country’s first and biggest publisher of online games and MMORPGs, has lined up for the LIVE 2007 event.
The Philippine team is composed of Bein Patrick Limpin, Mel Bryan Unera, Chris Dimaunahan, Emmanuel Deleon, Jeffrey Custodio, Frederick Banaag and Aaron James Fernandez.
With the RP contingent in Korea are Carlo Ople, Brand Manager of Ragnarok; Level Up Marketing Director Jake Sandiego, Level Up CEO Jane Walker, Milton Sy and Armada “elders†Kevin Go (Leic) and Marlou Fuma.
